FAQ about sure HOPE

ABOUT Our Church

Q. Are you affilated with any denomination?

sure HOPE Christian Assembly works with many churches and organizations, but is an independent non-denominational church.

Q. Are your ministers ordained?

sure HOPE Christian Assembly is a legally organized church within the state of Ohio.
All pastors are fully ordained through our assembly.

Q. Do you support World Missions?

From the beginning sure HOPE Christian Assembly has sponsored children in the Dominican Republic through Compassion International.

Q. What attire should I wear?

We do not have a dress code per se. We just ask for modest attire. Whether you prefer a suit, or jeans and a t-shirt, you'll be welcomed.

Q. Will people accept me?

Yes we will accept and love you. But we may not agree. At sure HOPE we recognize we are all different and yet the same. We don't want to concentrate on the past, but on the unwritten future. To see what could be, not what was.

Q. I have tatoos, piercings and blue hair?

I'm bald, have a beard and hair growing out of my ears. So what's your point? (Pastor Gary).

Q. Will you marry me?

No I'm already married. Seriously, we believe marriage is a wonderful event and we don't require church membership.
But we do require marriage counseling to prepare the couple (even if you have been married before).

Q. Why do you use a celtic cross?

We liked the look, but mostly we envisioned the circle around the cross representing the never ending circle of hope that God can bring to our lives through the cross.

Q. How can I get baptized?

Ask us and we will put you on the list.
***NOTE: We conduct full emersion baptism.

Q. How do I become a member?

For more information why not check out our Becoming a Member page.

Q. How can I get involved?

First attend our church. See if you like it. Talk to our Pastors about your skills and let's find an appropriate ministry (a good fit). Some ministry positions may require membership (see above).
***NOTE: Many positions will require a screening (background check).
